ATU Healthy Employee Lifestyle Program
The ATU HR office is committed to excellence through people and believes that employee wellbeing matters. We are excited to launch an Employee Health Lifestyle Program (Employee Wellness Initiative) effective January 1, 2025.
ATU has created a web-based tracking system for entry of activity that will allow ATU staff to earn leave for making healthy choices. Eligible employees, who meet criteria of the program, may earn up to two (2) days of leave in a calendar year. Leave earned through this program will not rollover to the next calendar year, if not used, and will not be compensated at the time of separation from ATU.
Ways to Earn Leave
Employee Wellness Visit
Employees have an opportunity to earn 8 hours of annual wellness leave by visiting their doctor or primary care physician each year. Examples of wellness screenings are:
Effective January 1, 2025, ATU employees are able to schedule a wellness visit through the ATU Health and Wellness Center. The wellness visit will include a general physical and labs if deemed appropriate by the health care provider. The cost is $25 and is not billed to insurance. This is not intended to replace your current primary care provider. Chronic conditions should be followed and managed by the employee's regular primary care provider.
Employee Physical Activity Participation
Employees have the opportunity to earn 8 hours of annual wellness leave by reporting their daily physical activity. Staff must report twenty-four (24) weeks of physical activity for a minimum of thirty (30) minutes a day for three (3) days a week. The weeks are not required to be contiguous weeks.
ATU staff will be able to select from a variety of physical activities within the exercise categories of endurance, strength, balance, and flexibility. See Physical Activity Fact Sheet.
How to Report
Staff log into OneTech and add a card called “Wellness Incentive”. Clicking each link will provide the employee with additional information about the benefit including help/tutorials on using the system.
Staff must record physical activity within 14 days of completing the activity. The system will not allow for entry of dates more than 14 days in the past. It is recommended that employees who wish to participate in this aspect of the program log their physical activity do so on at least a weekly basis.
