If you have discipline-specific educational goals, there are options under the Agriculture Business Major. These options include Animal Science, Horticulture, Feed Mill Management, Pre-Veterinary Medicine and Public Relations. These choices provide you the opportunity to explore the many prospects available in the dynamic agriculture industry. Whether your interests lie in production agriculture or the business of the livestock, horticulture, feed milling, pre-veterinarian medicine or public relations, Tech has a program for you!

If you enjoy working outdoors and watching a plant grow from seed to a finished product for people to enjoy, the Horticulture option of the Agricultural Business degree may be for you. With a specialization to ensure you can explore your area of interest while developing your financial and managerial acumen in your agriculture business courses, students are prepared to work in, manage, and/or own a horticulture enterprise. Exciting jobs in greenhouse/nursery management, seed and chemical sales, cooperative extension, crop consultation, landscape maintenance and many others await graduates of this program. ATU’s Outdoor Learning Lab, including greenhouses and shade houses, allows students the opportunity to grow, work and manage a plant production operation; the resulting real-world sales of student-grown plants to campus and the River Valley community brings horticulture and business concepts to life. Dedicated, full-time faculty members share their knowledge, experiences and industry connections towards your preparation horticulture and allied industry careers or graduate school.

Students living in states bordering Arkansas receive in-state tuition.
