Want a life changing experience—one that gives you networking skills and includes career counseling, while earning college credit?

Programs in Washington, D.C.

  • Semester long internships (earn up to 12 credit hours at ATU while studying and interning in D.C.)
  • Week long seminars (earn 1 credit hour at ATU while visiting government agencies, interest groups, think tanks, and attending seminars in D.C. with leading government officials as guest speakers)

The Department of History & Political Science annually recruits about 10 students to participate in a funded week-long seminar at the TWC in Washington, D.C., alternating each year between the Inside Washington Seminar in January and the National Security Seminar in May.

Some funding from the Arkansas State Legislature are available to make these opportunities more affordable for instate Arkansas residents!
