Alpha Theta Gamma Chapter
Phi Alpha Theta is the national honor society for undergraduate, graduate students, and professors of history. Founded in 1921 at the University of Arkansas, it now has over 400,000 members and more than 970 chapters.

This new virtual speaker series is intended to introduce students to some of the many career options they’ll have after completing a degree in history. See below for the fall 2024 schedule and links to register for each

PAT Membership Eligibility Requirements
In order to qualify for the Alpha Theta Gamma Chapter of Phi Alpha Theta, applicants must be current ATU students and meet the eligibility listed below.

PAT Applications
When you're ready to apply, submit your completed application form, a one-time membership fee of $60, and an unofficial transcript to Dr. Utne (WPN 253).
Please submit your application by February 15, 2025 to participate in our Spring 2025 initiation ceremony. Students who are already members, but would like to order honor cords or sashes for commencement should complete the regalia order form.
Annual Initiation Ceremony
Every spring semester we welcome new members to Phi Alpha Theta with an initiation ceremony created over a century ago. We invite new initiates to bring a few friends and family for a dinner reception and to join us in celebrating your accomplishments.
