The Department of Teaching and Educational Leadership offers three undergraduate programs leading to Arkansas teacher licensure. These programs are Elementary Education, Middle Childhood/Early Adolescence, and Secondary Education. The Teacher Education program at Tech has a long history of preparing teachers and is accredited by the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE).
Elementary Education leads to a Bachelor of Science. It is designed to prepare students to work in Grades K-6.
A Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education is available through a partnership with
North Arkansas Community College (Harrison) and Ozarka Community College (Melbourne).
Approximately 50% of the coursework is available online.

Middle Childhood/Early Adolescence Education leads to a Bachelor of Science degree.
It is designed to prepare students to work in Grades 4-7.
Students choose two areas of interdisciplinary concentration:
Secondary Education leads to a Bachelor's Degree in the selected area of teaching. Designed to prepare students to work in Grades 4-12, 7-12, or K-12 depending upon the secondary major field.
