KXRJ's mission is to provide news, educational programming, non-main stream music, and information to the University and surrounding communities.
KXRJ is a non-commercial, non-profit, educational broadcast facility. The station is also operated as an instructional facility for the ATU Department of Journalism.
You can tune in to our student-led broadcasts every Monday and Tuesday from 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. Outside of those hours, KXRJ will resume automated programming.
Every Saturday at 7:00 p.m., we pause regular programming for a one-of-a-kind theatrical
experience. The Arkansas Radio Theatre is dedicated to audio-only productions of new
plays and adaptations of classic literature. Performances showcase Arkansas Tech University
actors, directors, and writers. The Radio Theatre is unusual, if not unique, among
U.S. institutions of higher learning. You can also listen to these plays by clicking
the website or spotify link below.
