Thinking about an engineering education, why Tech? The Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) Program and the Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) Program are accredited by the Engineering Accreditation Commission of ABET, http://www.abet.org. Arkansas Tech University is only one of three publically funded universities with ABET accredited BSEE and BSME programs in the state of Arkansas. Our class sizes and those throughout the university are small.
Our engineering classes are all taught by engineering professors or industry professionals. We are a teaching university so students and their educational success is the primary focus of the faculty and the administration.
The curriculum creates a solid grounding in the machine design and thermal systems areas to prepare students for practicing engineer positions.
Learn MoreThe curriculum takes a hands-on approach to research and design while providing creative applications that prepare students for work in the field. The Electrical Engineering department offers three degrees.
Learn MoreThe biomedical option within the electrical engineering degree program allows graduates to pursue a career in the biomedical engineering discipline or to pursue a graduate degree in biomedical engineering.
Learn MoreThe computer engineering degree provides the educational background for engineers to pursue a career in the integrated hardware and software design development cycle for a variety of industries.
Learn MoreThis degree is designed to allow students to obtain the knowledge base and training necessary to work in one of the many areas in the nuclear field.
