A Message from the Department Head

Welcome to the Department of Mathematical and Physical Sciences! Our department offers enriching curricula in biochemistry, chemsitry, engineering physics, mathematics, and physics. Our curricula are designed to equip you with critical thinking and problem-solving skills essential for succes in today's dynamic world. Our dedicated faculty and newly renovated laboratories will support your academic journey and foster a collaborative and innovative leraning environemnt. The Department of Mathematical and Physical Sciences at Arkansas Tech University is dedicated to advancing knowledge and fostering innovation in the fields of chemistry, mathematics, and physics. We provide a rigorous and supportive educational environment that encourages critical thinking, creativity, and collaboration. Our mission is to prepare students to become leaders in scientific research, education, and industry by equipping them with a deep understanding of fundamental principles, cutting-edge skills, and a commitment to lifelong learning.

Degrees and Programs

Chemistry

 The degree is offered with options in Professional, Biochemistry, and General. All three options prepare students for employment opportunities in industry or government positions.

Engineering Physics

This program is designed to provide highly technical skills alongside the theoretical knowledge to be successful in a variety of industries.

Mathematics

The curriculum provides students with a background in mathematics that prepares them for graduate level work in mathematics or for a career in industries such as the technology or data analytics fields.
