Alex Lake completed the MLA in December of 2013. For his creative project, he wrote a collection of forty poems called Mimes and Atrocities. See a few samples of his work below:

"I think the creative project expressed what I learned because a lot of what I learned had to do with language. The creative project forced me to come up with something completely on my own, using language in creative ways. I think it was more difficult, because rather than doing research, I had to create everything completely from scratch.I had to write about 40 good poems in one semester."

Alex is about to begin work for a local newspaper.
