PROFESSIONAL ACTIVITIES

Dr. Swain’s major research interests are 1) Historical Cartography, 2) Monuments, Memorials, and the Politics of Collective Memory, and 3) Native American Geographies. Dr. Swain is one of the founding members of the interdisciplinary Anthropology & Geography B.A. degree program at ATU. Dr. Swain’s scholarship includes over 50 maps in more than a dozen publications.
