Dr. Loretta Smith
PROFESSOR OF MANAGEMENT
Areas of Expertise
Dr. Smith’s teaching responsibilities include human resources, organizational behavior, management, project management, operations, and statistics. She holds a BS in Business and Behavioral Science from Erskine College, a MS from Clemson University in Industrial/Organizational Psychology, and a PhD. in Operations Management with a doctoral minor in Statistics, also from Clemson. She has also earned the Quality Matters Certification in Online Teaching. Loretta is also a member of the Higher Learning Commission (HLC) Peer Corp as well as a Quality Matters Master Reviewer and Campus Coordinator. Current research interests include assessment, accreditation, Quality Matters, mindfulness in education and the financing of higher education.
