An affiliate Music For All festival presented by Yamaha
Hosted by Arkansas Tech University in Witherspoon Hall
Arkansas Tech University is thrilled to be host of the Music For All Southern Regional Music Education Festival -- the first of its kind in this region of the United States! The Southern Regional Music Education Festival will provide participant ensembles the opportunity to play on the Witherspoon Concert Hall stage in a non-competitive format and receive comments and a clinic from one of our evaluators.
The philosophy of this event is such that there will be no scores, no rating, and no ranking of performing ensembles. This is an opportunity for your students to perform in a great space, receive comments from great musicians, and a clinic with an esteemed music educator. The Arkansas Tech University Symphonic Wind Ensemble and ATU Choral Artists will perform for your students throughout the festival.
Each performing ensemble will receive a recording of their performance with no judges commentary, as well as the three recordings from the clinicians.
As a non-competitive event, enrollment is open to school ensembles of all age ranges. Middle School, Junior High, and High School bands, choirs, orchestras, and other school musical ensembles are encouraged to register and perform!
The Festival Seeks to provide a wonderful performance opportunity for all groups. To that end, we request that each performing ensemble plan to attend at least 2 performances of colleague ensembles during your day. We request that groups make every possible effort to support each other, and please plan to attend the ATU Symphonic Wind Ensemble and/or the ATU Choral Artists performances as possible.
Registration fee: $300 per ensemble per 30 minute performance slot; $600 per ensemble per 1 hour performance slot
