The InterLibrary Loan (ILL) service locates and obtains books (excluding textbooks), articles, and audio/visual items that are not part of the Ozark Campus Library's collection. This service is available to currently enrolled students and presently employed staff and faculty with a valid library account that is in good standing.
As a current student, faculty, or staff member of Arkansas Tech you are automatically registered as a library patron. Your Tech ID is your library card. You must present your ID when picking up ILL items.
Choose the type of item you want to request and fill in the item information. You will be sent an email when your item is ready for you to pick up. Please only use your ATU email.
Use WorldCat. You can search for books, dvds, articles, etc. in WorldCat and get more information about the item you need, including information that can help you fill out your ILL request form.
Materials that are available in the Library should NOT be requested. However, items with a lost, missing, or on-reserve status may be requested. If an item is checked out you will have the option to request it directly in . This will block the current user from renewing and you will be notified by email when the item is ready for you to pick up.
Books and audio items are usually loaned for a period of two weeks. Video items are usually loaned for one week. No renewals.
Return books and other ILL materials to the Library Desk.
If a cost is involved the requester will be notified.
You are responsible for the materials from the time they are picked up until they are returned to the Library Desk.
ILL materials returned after the due date written on the paperwork with the material will result in an overdue fine of $1 per day.
The following items are unlikely to be received through ILL due to reciprocity policies; it is this library's policy not to lend these material types.
*Copies of requested articles are usually sent as a PDF through email.
Book requests made after the first week of December and article requests made after the second week of December will not be processed until the campus reopens in early January. Contact the ILL office for more details.
All ILL transactions are handled in Russellville. However, the pick up and drop off of ILL items will take place at the Ozark LIbrary unless other arrangements are previously set between the user and the Ozark Campus librarian.
